No acumular.

THE TRIANGLE OF OUR BRAND

Created in Spain, produced in India. It could be a cliché, we know that.

We would like to start by trying to explain our vision for the brand: imagine a triangle, three vertices connected by the same line. Each vertex illustrates a different principle which equates our brand Jaypur.

Let’s start by referring to responsible consumption. That is exactly what we mean every time we communicate the “Grasp your essentials”. We try to convey this message. Currently, we see an unhealthy cycle, people purchase, wear, and then throw away their “new” clothes. Consumption has become adapted to the cycle of mass production, and the excessive nature of it, to the multitude of passing trends which constantly change the way we are supposed to be perceived.  At Jaypur we choose another path, we believe in the optimization of this system, because why not? Don’t we all deserve to feel good wearing our clothes every day? These questions made us ask ourselves, what is the main thing we need to change and improve in order to promote responsible consumption? The answer is not to accumulate, not to buy excessively and appreciate our clothes more for their inherent quality. That is exactly what Jaypur means.
It became our way of trying to offer people an alternative to fast fashion, making versatility and quality the benchmarks of all our garments. Versatility and quality are our bread and butter and we would rather produce too little than too much. Hence the simplicity of the designs and emphasis on the quality of the fabrics we use, rejecting the use of materials with high environmental impact.

Our second line in the triangle, authenticity. From the beginning we wanted Jaypur to reflect our experiences in and of India. A business which we whole heartedly believe to represent a little piece of and our interpretation of India’s beauty. Therefore, working closely with locals is natural to us in order to give back some of the joy, India has given us. As a small token of our commitment and love of India, Jaypur works to make regular donations to Haji Public School, a center which is responsible for offering free education to children in a small region of the Himalayas, Breswana. All our unique designs are produced by professional artisans, whom we are pleased to help by promoting their local business through our project to create strong personal connections with our suppliers; always guaranteeing them fair wages and adequate livelihood conditions.

Our last principle, the last vertex in the triangle is transparency. Since the creation of Jaypur, we as a brand made by conscious people, have pledged ourselves to upholding values which we believe to be reflected in each and every one of the actions we carry out. Through all of our communication channels, Jaypur tries to show the motivations that drive our development and consequently we strive to create a community of people who want to share, and take part in this new movement, either by wearing the products or simply sharing our history.

So far, our vision of the brand is born from our dedication, idealism, and enthusiasm. After months of work, we are proud to be able to present the three principles for which we stand, which, united by the lines of our commitment to consumers and suppliers establishes Jaypur. Our brand, for you and for us.
